It is vital that you eat breakfast to give you energy and keep your blood sugar levels steady. Imagine trying to drive to work without any petrol in the car. If you skip breakfast, you won’t lose weight, you will just get tired and grumpy by mid morning!

Breakfast should ideally include some carbs and protein. Try some of these energy boosting breakfast recipes and suggestions.

On the move
If you don't have time to make your own breakfast, make sure you grab something healthy while you are out and about. If you are passing through London Bridge, Waterloo, Canary Wharf, Victoria or Liverpool St stations on a weekday morning, look out for the MOMA stands – they sell delicious oaty breakfast pots.

Or grab a smoothie – just make sure it’s a natural one rather than one full of sugar.
